A short 4 day trip to Lake Titicaca and the Uros Islands (depart Cusco) 

The itinerary takes you to Puno, Lake Titicaca (the highest commercially navigable lake in the world) and its islands.

This tour is perfect for people that want a side tour from Cusco to see a bit of Lake Titicaca, including the floating Uros Islands.


 

Day 1: Arrival Puno. Bus from Cusco to Puno and transfer to your hotel in Puno. In the afternoon we visit the ancient burial ground of Sillustani. The tombs are built above the ground and the inside of the tombs are shaped like a womb. The ancient Peruvian people believed that mother earth created and regulated life.
Day 2: Lake Titicaca. In the morning we take a boat trip on the highest navigable lake in the world, “Titicaca Lake”. As part of the trip we visit the floating Islands of Uros and Amantani. We stay the night with locals on Amantani Island. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
Day 3: Lake Titicaca. On our way back to Puno we stop over on Taquile Island, a fascinating place where we can learn the traditions of these hard-working local people. (Breakfast and lunch included)
Day 4: Departure from Puno. Return bus trip from Puno to Cusco.
